THE STORY

The park is quiet. The case is anything but.

Neil Collins’s body is discovered in a local park in Mercia-upon-Tame. What brought a construction company owner here—and who had a reason to make sure he never left?

The investigation draws you into business rivalries, troubled histories and accounts that demand careful scrutiny. Several people have connections to Neil. A connection alone is not proof.

You have access to the Stanfordshire Police case files: scene records, forensic evidence, witness statements and interview recordings. Lay the accounts alongside the records and test what each one can actually establish.

This is a case for detectives who enjoy taking their time and following a complicated trail.

GOOD TO KNOW

Your evening.
Your investigation.

A few things to know before you take the case.

What kind of game is this?

An online case-file investigation. You examine evidence in a fictional police system and decide what happened. There are no character scripts to act out.

Can we play together?

Yes. Investigate on your own or gather around a screen with a partner or friends to discuss the evidence.

Do I need to print anything?

No. You can work through the investigation online. This is a digital case file, not a physical box.

Which device should I use?

A laptop or desktop gives documents, video and the evidence viewer more room. You play in your web browser.

Can I take a break?

Yes. Your investigation workspace saves progress to your account, so you can return to the evidence later.

How long should we allow?

Set aside around 120–240 minutes. Take your time: discussion and close reading are part of the investigation.

  5. Arjun –

A Summer To Die For was honestly one of the most gripping murder mystery games I’ve played online. Every clue felt like a real piece of evidence, and solving the case was so satisfying. Highly recommend to anyone who loves detective games.

  8. Veronica (verified owner) –

Wow, what a ride! Highly recommend for couples looking for something different

  9. Laura Oates (verified owner) –

Truly awful. Boring. 30 minutes of listening to police interviews. Nothing interactive, nothing to solve. I fell asleep during one interview. The evidence at the end was laughable – certainly wouldn’t solve a real case with that

  10. Sarah (verified owner) –

    Total game-changer for date nights!

  11. Lieke S (verified owner) –

A well thought out game, really enjoyed playing it. Definitely purchasing other versions too.

    5/5 stars

  18. Emma Crossley (verified owner) –

Sorry but there is absolutely no way that the evidence available is going to lead people to the right person.

Their justification for who the killer is cannot be determined from what you are presented with.

  19. Shelvey Graeme (verified owner) –

I really enjoyed my time spent over the past few days working on this. The timeline of events was very well constructed so that all of the suspects seemed a hair’s breath away from ending up as being named murderer by me at different moments during the case, though I was able to settle on a final candidate, who did turn out to be the killer.

I was impressed with the level and quality of detail and work put into this case.

I’m planning on getting the other case available soon and will be looking forward to your future cases.
